I love how most of the time I see the phrase "as you do" and I think "as you do, maybe" but here? Yeah, that's...totally me. YES I am so glad to share this specific brand of crazy with someone. "Come quick, ma! Bring the tears bucket! I struck angst gold!"
This is a really good thing for me to remeber, esp rn when I'm so stuck on my own long WIP. <3 I hope it's a useful thought! I mean, I forget this too sometimes when I'm actively struggling with a plot problem, but in retrospect it's really clear.
So brave! ahh or careless? :P TBH, when I started out writing last year, I figured I wasn't getting paid and nobody knew who I was, so why not just wing it and see what happens? It was a nice position to be starting from. I've gotten more careful (and anxious) as I've become more serious about writing and gathered friends and readers, but having that starting point of DGAF, and having had it turn out pretty well for me, is a really helpful basis for chilling out and having fun with it.
It looks like you had it planned from the start, definitely. Oh that's awesome to hear, thanks!
I'm really glad you enjoyed the post! I found it difficult to write, but I wanted to have it for my own future reference, at least (because as my techniques change, I will straight-up forget what I used to do, I'm sure.) It's kind of a relief that it's interesting and helpful to others as well.
