Actual answer for how to transport a bat: in a cardboard box taped shut with small (very small) air holes poked in. But, yeah, I think I might have preferred getting the shots anyway... the bat and I wanted nothing to do with each other. (Also, rabies testing requires killing the bat, so it's okay to kill the bat yourself, but I was NOT doing that. No.)
